A Fresh Canvas

This is the time of year that everyone starts thinking about a clean slate with the new school year starting. This year my cousin Jenna is starting college and she wanted some decor for her drab dorm room walls. So she found a deal on canvases at HobbyLobby and asked me to personalize them and coordinate with the bedding that she and her roommate chose. She wanted to surprise her new roomie with a "dorm-warming" present too.

Here they are - hope they inspire lots of studying!

    Basically I just sketched it on with pencil after I got the pink base coats on and then I just went over my pencil with the black paint. My selection of fonts on the laptop here just wasn't doing it for me or Jenna so I kinda sketched based on a mixture between two of them.

    Yeah, the only problem with painting is that my main troublemaker is still at the house with me. If he gets into the fabric, yeah, we got a mess, but not like if he got into the paint! LOL!

    I did do a search on etsy just to check prices and whatnot, and I think I will try to do a few different looks and post them as custom orders.
